When Veronica Stalberg paints, music is in her mind. More recently, when she sings, paintings have begun to appear in her imagination. For Stalberg, painting and opera are not separate practices, but different vessels for the same story. The medium may change, from voice to paint, from sound to texture, yet the impulse remains the same: to communicate something deeply felt. Her work seeks a form of true communication, one in which the audience does not simply observe the story, but senses it. As a result, her paintings are musical, intense, and create sensory reactions through abstract brushstrokes. 
Stalberg, born in Sweden and is now based in London, has a fascinating background in opera singing. She was intuitively drawn to painting through an unbridled desire for self-expression. Her works are emotional, ethereal, raw, and richly textured, inspired by the mysterious natural world around her.
Inspired by nature, her paintings often evoke oceans, fish, flowers, mountains, and landscapes in the eyes of the viewer. They transport audiences to another world, and at times, one can almost hear the music emanating from them.
Over the last few years, Stalberg has held several successful solo shows and exhibited at multiple reputable fairs, including Aqua Art Miami during Basel Week.
